What began over 20 years ago as a simple promotional photo is now a cult event: the Paulaner Lederhosenshooting is the unofficial team photo, the official starting signal for the Oktoberfest season at FC Bayern Munich and a real piece of Bavarian tradition for all "new Bavarians" in the team. Every year, around three weeks before the Oktoberfest, the FCB team presents itself in traditional Bavarian costume - and fans and the media eagerly await the pictures.
The photos of Bayern stars in lederhosen are unforgettable. Years from now, fans will still remember Carlo Ancelotti in traditional Bavarian costume, Pep Guardiola in a checked traditional shirt, Louis van Gaal in Haferl shoes, Julian Nagelsmann in Wadl stockings or Jupp Heynckes and Ottmar Hitzfeld in Lederhosen.
There are always two questions: For the newcomers: "How do you actually put this on properly?" For the established ones: "Who looks the best - and who could beat me in the calf comparison?"
